Work Experience

MIS Administrator

5/2003 - Present  Disetronic Sterile Products, Portsmouth, NH

§      Primary Role – MIS Administrator

Manage and maintain Enterprise Networks and Servers, including but not limited to Firewalls, Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, Back-ups, Email, Internet, Intranet, Security, HVAC Control and Wireless Access.

Prepare, plan and monitor budgets for Information Technology and Inventory Control. Engineered and developed solutions to future business growth and security needs, ensuring data integrity and services meet or exceed prescribed levels.

Provide strategic planning for business continuity, and technical application. Install, build and maintain computer workstations, servers, and network devices and hardware and support end users and network.

Prepare for SAP integration from Macola ERP with parent company. Developed and implemented web based database systems to collect in-process metrics, providing real-time reporting of key information.

Designed a warehouse control system to manage and maintain inventory items in a strict lot controlled, FDA environment. This system provided traceability and visibility to planning, purchasing and manufacturing, where previously the system was undependable and lacking visibility.

Automated reporting from ERP system using ODBC, MsAccess, Monarch and Crystal Reports. Making key data accessible to ALL managers and users without the burden of additional ERP licensing costs.

Reduced cost of data and telecommunications by 12% and tripled the services provided, which are in very high demand.

Manage and maintain key card access systems and building security, including badge issuance. Install and Manage CCTV system. Assist maintenance and engineering departments with machine controller communications and automation interfaces.

Implemented upgrade to HVAC control system to a browser based one. Allowing techs secure access anywhere inside or outside company.

Converted enterprise email from Linux Sendmail system to MSExchange 2003

§      Secondary Role – Inventory Control Manager

Responsible for managing the entire inventory and it’s accuracy for the enterprise. This included regular routine cycle counts as needed and auditing of systems. Prepared reports for weekly material review. I also provided assistance with month-end closure and standard costing to Dir of Finance and Accounting. Improved inventory accuracy and visibility reducing component outages. Review usage of MRP and manage standard costs rolling and cost center reports.

§      Assisting Roles – ISO Auditor

Provided support to quality department by performing audits of key areas of the ISO 9000 system. (Certified Auditor)Value Stream Mapping Team – Supported quality by leading a value stream mapping team to revamp Standard Operating Procedures to meet deadline for ISO 13485. MIS Manager / QC Manager

Corporate Safety Officer

§      Implemented comprehensive enterprise safety system to support a healthy, safe employee environment as well as compliance to OSHA standards. System encompassed manufacturing facilities as well as construction operations. Performed active risk management of workers compensation claims and return to work programs. Implemented modified duty return to work programs.

§      Ultimately reduced workers compensation costs 600% in less than 3 years while the workforce size grew at over 16% annually.

§      Awarded the prestigious Founders Award by CIGNA insurance companies for successes and improvements.

§      Project management position for large custom manufactured products.

§      Prepared quotes, performed material take-off, and engineered assemblies to meet customer specifications.

§      Managed projects from concept to completion, responsible for achieving target margins and delivery deadlines. Interfaced directly with Engineering and Manufacturing personnel to develop innovative design details shortening lead-times and meeting demand. Prepared large hand drawings and AutoCad drawings as needed to communicate details to shop floor and customers for submittals as needed.

§      Managed procurement of key material and negotiated pricing with vendors including sub contractors, trucking and rigging. Identified personnel requirements, facility space and other logistics to complete project preparing schedules accordingly.  Interfaced directly with high profile national brand customers as needed. Prepared, managed, and staffed trade show booths and interfaced with customers directly via on-site meetings and sales presentations. Assisted in preparation of sales brochures, catalogs and flyer's to promote companies services and product offerings.
